Agrochemical DISPERSING AGENTS

EFKA PA 4450

Carboxyl-functional polymer (polimer berfungsi karboksil)

Brief description

Dispersing agent (non-aqueous, polar & non-polar systems) based on Carboxyl-functional polymer (polimer berfungsi karboksil), functioning as prevents pigment flocculation, increases color strength, and shortens grinding time in non-aqueous paints in non-aqueous pigment paste/pigment concentrate, alkyd and polyester paint, and solvent-based acrylic paint formulations. Available in Density 20°C ~1.02 g/cm³; refractive index 1.4790–1.4890; store at 5–35°C specification.

Applications & benefits

Can be used in any system regardless of polarity, including low-polarity systems
Good solubility even in isoparaffins, making it suitable for such systems
Prevents pigment flocculation and increases color strength
Shortens grinding time
Available from PT Bahtera Adi Jaya's local stock, with shorter lead times than direct import.
Backed by complete technical documentation (COA, MSDS/SDS) and formulation support from our technical sales team.

Frequently asked questions
What is EFKA PA 4450 and what is it used for?

Dispersing agent (non-aqueous, polar & non-polar systems) based on Carboxyl-functional polymer (polimer berfungsi karboksil), functioning as prevents pigment flocculation, increases color strength, and shortens grinding time in non-aqueous paints in non-aqueous pigment paste/pigment concentrate, alkyd and polyester paint, and solvent-based acrylic paint formulations. What is the recommended dosage for EFKA PA 4450 in formulations?

The use level commonly referenced in the product's technical documents is 0.2–1.0% of total formulation; for long-oil-alkyd pigment paste in isoparaffin: iron oxide red 6–7 pbw, phthalo green 40–50 pbw, carbon black 60–70 pbw on pigment. The final dosage still depends on the formulation system, so small-scale trials are recommended before mass production.

Are COA, MSDS, and technical support documentation available?

Yes. Every shipment is accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS/SDS) matching the production batch. For other regulatory documents (e.g. halal certification or special specifications), please contact our sales team.
